For scene 3, I used the active audience theory. This is because the audience is activelt engaging with the scene to interpret what they think is going on.
for scene 3, I had to film it then re do it. I decided to change some things in it to make it better. Some probs we used was a remote and a backpack. I had some voiceovers needed and I added some sound clips to better enhance the scene. I had my friend record all the shot and angles we thought fit the scenes the best. I had to change my outfit a couple of times to fit the scene.
In scene 4 I used the representation theory. This is because audience uses symbol to produce meaning. And in this scene all you see is Amelies true mark and her trying to hide it.
for scene four, we used a remote as a prop and I added in some extracted sounds. I had all the shots I needed and has Isabella record me. I also got some action shots and to some action moves.
Scene 3: Home Shot 1: ombre effect -> shows heart mark on face ( close up ) Shot 2: *over shoulder shot* (looking in mirror holding face/surprised) oh my gosh.. This can’t be right Shot 3: *covering up mark with concealer (Adrien is helping)
For scene 2 I used the reception theory. This is because, in this scene, girls are gossiping and being mean to Amelie. The audience is actively interpreting media based on their own social and cultural experiences.
Scene 2: School Overview: school + bullying + assembly Shot 1: Close up shot bell ringing -> tilt down shot of student assembly -> boy comes to lonely girl -> POV shot o f bo ys f ace Shot 2: guy talking about symbols and what the mean -> girls talk about what symbol they want Shot 3: girl push Amelie to floor *aerial sho t * + make fun of her (saying she will never be a somebody and will get a bad mark) -> Adrien sticks up for her *eye level* -> helps her up ( don’t worry about what their saying okay?) * high angle* -> nods head with faint smile * close up *
Amelie: Campbell Trittler Main character: always bullied, short dark hair, blue eyes Fake mom: Emma Kronish mean, fake mom Adrien: Mihn Nice, love interest, lighter hair, blue eyes. Allows nice to Amelie and marries her.
For this scene, I made sure to film at school since that is where the setting was. I got my cast mates and told them about the plan for this scene. I had my shots and camera angles known so that whoever was filming knew what to do. I didn't have any props except for the mean girls sitting on the steps. When editing, I made sure to include clips of sound like dazzling and beeping.
For scene 1, the theory that can be applied would be the theory of mind. Scene 1 is a example of what Amelie's life is like by hearing just sounds. You can tell that she is working hard and is tired.
For the first scene, I got my cast member Emma Kronish who played the fake mom in my film and told her what her role in this scene was. She helped film the scenes that I was in. I told her the exact shots and angles she had to record at to make sure the understanding the scene was readable. I also made sure to grab my prop of the scrub and pizza.
Home Overview: Cleaning floor + bullying + harsh lifestyle Shot 1: scrubbing sound + grunting of hard work + dark screen -> close up of scrub cleaning.
